For admission to the 1st Year of BBA (Hons.) course -

Application form and prospectus for BBA course will be available only from the BBA department after paying Rs.500/- in cash. Online Application facility is not available for BBA course.

For admission to the 1st year of B.A/B.Sc. (Hons./General) courses -

  1. A candidate may apply for any number of courses. List of the courses offered by the college is given here. Fee structure for each course is also given here.
  2. For each course, separate application form should be submitted.

    Cost of each Application Form is   Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred) only

  3. A candidate may collect the application form(s) and prospectus in person from the college counter by paying the requisite fees in cash.

    Or

    He/she may download the application form(s) from the college website and the application fee has to be paid to the college by Demand-Draft along with the filled-up downloaded application form.

    Or

    He/she may fill-up the application form and submit it online at the college website. The application fee has to be paid to the college by Demand-Draft along with the printed copy/copies of the online application(s) submitted.
  4. All forms should be duly and properly filled in and supplemented with required documents. Incomplete forms will not be considered.
  5. If the application fee is paid by Demand-Draft, the draft to be drawn in favour of 'Principal, Asutosh College' payable at Kolkata. The candidate should purchases a Demand-Draft (DD) for the appropriate amount of application fee. The Demand-Draft should be purchased from one of the following banks -
     
    • Allahabad Bank
    • Axis Bank
    • Bank of India
    • Central Bank of India
    • State Bank of India
    • United Bank of India

    Or

    Payment may be made through Core Banking System (CBS)* of following Banks -

    Avail any of your nearest branches of the above bank with Core Banking System facility and make cash deposit for the payment of the application(s).
    * CBS Charge, if any, must be paid in EXCESS to the prescribed application fee.
  6. Reserved Seats: Those applying for Reserved Seats must attach with the application form, attested photocopies of caste, tribe or disability certificate from a competent authority. The Reservation is as per Government stipulations.
  7. All candidates are requested to take receipts from the receiving officials with signature and seal at the time of submission of application form. The Serial number mentioned in the receipt should be referred to in any future enquiry regarding admission.
  8. The form must be filled in as per the sample filled-in form given in the prospectus.
  9. Selection will be strictly on merit. The Merit lists will be displayed in the College notice board on these dates.
  10. Candidates selected for Honours course must obtain Admission Forms and Academic Calendar from the respective Departments on payment of Rs 200/- on the date(s) notified by the college.
    No one will be entertained after the date as notified for a particular list.
  11. Candidates selected for General Courses must obtain Admission Forms and Academic Calendar from the College Office on payment of Rs 200/- on the date(s) notified by the college.
  12. Candidates in the Waiting List for Honours Courses are advised to keep in touch with the respective departments to know his/her current status in the admission list.
  13. Properly filled in admission forms must be submitted with necessary fees (refer to Fee-structure) on the notified date(s). Documents required for admission will be specified in the admission form.
  14. All admissions are provisional, subject to verification of documents and approval by the University of Calcutta. If the University does not approve the admission, the student will not be entitled to claim refund of fees.
  15. Students will not be allowed to take up any subject(s) for which the college does not have affiliation.
  16. A student whose 1st Language at the 10+2 Level is Bengali, will not be allowed to take-up Alternative English as a compulsory language.
  17. Applicants are requested to note the eligibility criteria. Mere submission of an application form does not make one automatically eligible for admission.

Attendance. Students falling short of 75% attendance shall not be allowed for the University examinations at the end of the year or session.
Mobile Phone, is strictly prohibited in classrooms, library, laboratory, corridors, stairs etc. Please ensure you have your mobile phone switched off when attending any session.
No Ragging. Any Student found involved in ragging either in the college premise or in the hostel will face immediate expulsion from the college as per order of Supreme Court.
