Qualification for Admission to the Three-Year B.A./B.Sc./B.B.A. (Honours, General and Major) Courses of Studies effective for the Academic Session 2012-2013.

1. A candidate who has passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination is eligible to seek admission to the 1st year of the 3-year B.A./B.Sc./ B.B.A.(Hons./General/Major) Course of Studies provided he/she has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100.
However, no candidate shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination or discontinuation of recognized regular Course of Study after passing the previous qualifying examination.

Explanation: The year of admission shall not be taken into account while calculating 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying Examination.

For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the Honours Course, aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. However, marks in compulsory Environmental Education /Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. If the subject "Environmental Science" is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, may be taken into account for the purpose determining the aggregate marks.
 
2 (a). A Candidate taking up Honours/Major/General Course in a subject must have obtained:

(i) Hons:  A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. For BBA 55% marks in the aggregate from any discipline.

(ii) Major: For major Courses a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate at the previous qualifying Exam.

(iii) General: For General Courses, a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate at the previous qualifying Exam.

 (b).  However, Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe Community taking up Honours/Major Course of Study must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate at the previous qualifying examination, as the case may be.

3. A candidate shall be allowed to take up the subject (s) under heading A if he/she had passed the subject(s) under heading B at the previous qualifying examination.

4. For the B.A./B .Sc. (Honours/General/Major) Course of Studies a candidate is required to choose his/her Honours and two/three elective subjects, as the case may be, from among the List given below:

Attendance. Students falling short of 75% attendance shall not be allowed for the University examinations at the end of the year or session.
Mobile Phone, is strictly prohibited in classrooms, library, laboratory, corridors, stairs etc. Please ensure you have your mobile phone switched off when attending any session.
No Ragging. Any Student found involved in ragging either in the college premise or in the hostel will face immediate expulsion from the college as per order of Supreme Court.
